On the same day, seven different swedish pals mailed me the link to Ansiktsburk - the song ... Thought I'd post it here for any swede that missed it.. A Turkish (?) song with swedish subtitles guessing what they are singing according to what it sounds like in swedish.. Very funny.

First chance you get in the day, head to flipflopflyin.com and set your desktop to have the bitmapped images of tiny popstars such as Kraftwerk... Or maybe the Thompson Twins... Or heck, why not go all Echo and the Bunnymen, Cliff Richards or Tom Jones?? They are all here. Hey - there's even the Queen Mum!

My 1968 Vespa Primavera with lots of chrome and a white leather seat has been stolen in Stockholm.
I'm pissed off, not just because it's stolen but because the theives might sell it for spare parts. The morons it is worth a hell of a lot more as it is!
Please vespa-god, don't let them pick it apart.. I'd rather see someone buy itin good faith and take good care of it.
If you see this driving around in Stockholm, or get an offer to buy it - please let me know as I want to know that my scooter is alright. I get a funny emotional attachment to my machines.

I can't make it to Gillards funeral.
The flights that were affordable and in perfect timing were naturally fully booked. Other flights would require staying an extra day, or caughing up half of my salary, neither one I can do right now.
I feel bad that I can't go, but Olly promised to try and record the speeches. I had an idea that I wanted to play it on the web in realtime, so that other Gillard-kids that are in other countries could listen in and sortof be there. "Gillard wants an audience". He would. At the same time, he would understand if one can't come my friends say. I'm not so sure.. He'd walk over fire and water for us.

Last night while I was bowling in blacklight with flourescant balls I was hitting the gutter and other lanes more often than pins. Until the last ball - they had called "shutdown of the lanes in two minutes" and said to everyone to keep bowling as many balls as they could before the counters/computers were turned off.
Everyone rushes so much that they bowl like me - miserably. Thats when I get a strike with only one second to spare.
Workmates seem to only remember that strike, so it really aint what you do, it is the way that you do it.

My old classmate Olly sent me a scan of this article about Gillard in campaign. I can't belive Gillard was that young. Parkinsons does bad things to nice people.

Yes - my server is unreachable ... But it's not just me. The dutch searchengine Ilse is unreachable as well so I'm in good company. It's a part of Level3 net's network that is down and not just my machine and my site (s). *phew* calling everyone who needs to know right now....

My tutor mentor and the man who most influenced the way I think today - John Gillard, has just passed away.
The funeral will be 6th November in Shropshire, and unfortunatly, I don't think I can make it. Any past students of Gillard reading this who want to pay their respects, please contact me for details. (click on the pink dots bottom left)

While we were in New York my friend Kate was wondering why the Big Apple was called the big apple. (I was finally totally stumped for answers) She had suspicions that it was something dirty. She proved herself right today.
